Murano glass milky spiral chandelier

€2,898.00

Height: 90 cm

Diameter: 55 cm

An exceptional and highly unusual Murano glass ceiling lamp from the 1970s, attributed to Carlo Nason for Mazzega. A rare and distinctive design that stands out in a market today saturated with reproductions, this piece represents an authentic expression of Murano craftsmanship. This model was produced in clear and white glass, as seen here, as well as in violet, a color often associated with Carlo Nason’s work. Its rarity and sculptural presence make it a truly special collector’s piece, offering the opportunity to own something few others have.

The lamp features a three tier chrome structure supporting seven E14 bulb holders, from which individually handcrafted Murano glass spirals are suspended. The spirals combine milky white and crystalline clear glass, creating a cascading composition reminiscent of flowing water or organic forms. Each element is unique, reflecting the artisanal skill and creativity of Murano glassmakers. When illuminated, the glass softly diffuses and refracts the light, giving the entire piece a luminous and refined presence that transforms the atmosphere of a room.

The lamp remains in good overall condition. The chrome shows signs of age with a natural patina, including light scratches and minor areas of surface rust. One of the glass elements has a small internal line, known in Italian as “lineatura”. This is only visible upon close inspection and does not affect the appearance when the lamp is installed. Please refer to the images for details. A striking and sculptural statement piece, perfect for interiors where originality and authentic 1970s Italian design are truly appreciated
